I dub these nightstands the gentlemen. Mostly because of their personality. Note the mustache.

Now to back up, this was an Ikea Hack inspired by Pinterest. See, we knew we needed nightstands that were large and in charge for our bedroom. Our new master bedroom is the size of the entire back half of our house and therefore poses many how-to design challenges. How to create different zones, how to make the bedroom feel cozy while still open. Y’all, we could entertain a party in just our room. Weird, but true. Anyways, I digress. Back to the hack.We started with the wood straight out of the box and nailed some lattice work to the edges to create trimmed corners. After the trim was nailed and the holes were covered, we painted it white.

After the coat of white was painted, we purchased some 1x4s for the top of the night stand. We wanted the tops to be lifted up a little bit and this also allowed us to add some matching trim. We then stained the top of the dresser to give it a rustic/barn feel.To finish off the nightstands, I found some knobs that looked like water.
