With only 45 days to go, we have been going nonstop. Last week Conner’s mom came to Atlanta and we went to a local flower shop to scope out ideas for our wedding flowers. Ms. Jenny had already created mock-ups of my bouquet and bridesmaids flowers; however we needed to gain inspiration for the ceremony and reception. The shop we went to appeared to be a warehouse of flowers online, but rather only two rows of flowers in person.
Despite the lack of flower selection and realizing that this shop was actually a made-to-order shop rather than a warehouse, we still had a good time getting lunch and brainstorming ideas. The flower shop had some cute signage too. We have a solid plan now and we cannot wait to see it all come together.
Speaking of solid plan, part of this plan involved some vases. Being the budget savvy bride that I am, I scoured the internet to find our planned look, for less. Luckily the local IKEA had what we needed and was part of the perfect activity for a date night last night. We had some movie tickets for a pre-release screening of Transformers 3 and coupons for IKEA that allowed us to see a movie and eat dinner for two for only 55 cents! The spare change was due to the tax, so all in all it was a successful night.
As far as everything else being nonstop, I go for my second dress alterations this weekend and we start back up with our pre-marital mentoring sessions tonight. We also are working on pulling together our pictures for our rehearsal dinner slideshow and finalizing details with our wonderful vendors. Sprinkled in between all of the wedding items has been prepping our new home for our arrival. Pictured here is Conner setting some posts for his hammock.
I have a funny feeling that these next 45 days are going to fly 🙂
