We are in the midst of the year we will get married, and needless to say there are a lot of behind the scenes action items that are taking place. Here is a quick rundown of the things we have been up to. Some things constitute their own post, so stay tuned!

Honeymoon: Conner booked the honeymoon! I am so excited to travel to Ocho Rios, Jamaica for our first week as a married couple. To tell you the truth, that is the only thing I know, since Conner has kept the details a huge surprise. Typically I am not one for surprises, but right now just knowing that in 7 short months we will be married and lying on a beach in Jamaica leaves me pretty content.

Ceremony Music: We met a few weeks ago with our Ceremony Musician. We picked out all of the prelude, ceremony, and recessional music. As we picked out the songs, she played each piece for us. I must admit, I got teary eyed with excitement just picturing the whole day in the tune of the songs she was playing. I am so excited!

Transportation: We booked the vehicle that will take us away from the ceremony. That is all that must be said, mostly because there is an element of surprise in the send-off 🙂

Officiant: We met with the man who will marry us. We were so excited to sit down with him, plan out our pre-marital counseling, and build upon a foundation that will keep us grounded in our marriage. We are currently working on our “homework” of reading 5 Love Languages. Can’t wait to share what we are learning with you.

That is a brief recap of the roadmap items over the last few weeks. This weekend we are off to see the Groomsmen tux showcase and visit the rehearsal dinner location. 26 weekends to go….
